Robert J. Lappan Excavating was established in 1956 by Robert J. Lappan Sr. For the past 65 years, Robert J. Lappan Excavating has become a name synonymous with excellence and quality in the construction business.
We specialize in water line and sewer repair to homes and businesses alike; supplying the materials, equipment and years of expertise. Lappan Excavating always secures locates prior to digging, As we place safety first and it is a requirement of working in the Kingston area. We are hired by other contractors to dig basements and back fill in this area, demonstrating the reputation that we have established. We do equipment rental with operators, including backhoes, mini excavators, dump trucks, hoe rams, skid steers. As well, we do blue skin waterproofing to foundations. We provide snow plowing, salting and sanding for commercial customers in the winter. The reputation that Robert J. Lappan has built for quality and professionalism over the years has led to being hired for jobs by the City of Kingston, the City of Kingston Parks Department, the Royal Military College, Corrections Canada and Queen's University both Housing Department and Physical Plant Services. Jobs completed include, repairing water and/or sewer lines according to specifications, preparing parking lots, supplying the gravel, leveling, and grading, and catch basins. In early January 2019, we peacefully had to say goodbye to our founder, Robert Lappan Sr. In memory of him, his son Robert Jr, continues to successfully operate Lappan Excavating, continuing our successful years in business within the Greater Kingston area.
